We use cookies and other tracking technologies (Cookies) on our website to enhance its functionality, provide content and advertisements tailored to your interests, offer social media features and improve our website through access analysis. The data regarding your use of our website collected through these Cookies may be shared with our partners that provide advertising, social media and/or analytics services. You can manage your consent or refusal for the use of Cookies on this website according to the purposes and jurisdictions by using the “Privacy Settings” button below.
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser by websites. They allow the retention of user session information, settings, and login status. For example, online shopping sites use cookies to save the contents of your cart. There are two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser, while persistent cookies are stored for a specified period.
Web storage includes local storage and session storage. Local storage retains data even after the browser is closed, whereas session storage deletes data when the browser is closed. Web storage is used, for example, to save user settings and game progress, and can store and manage larger amounts of data more efficiently compared to cookies.
Web beacons are technologies that track user behavior using transparent images or scripts. Typically, a small 1x1 pixel image is used, which communicates with a server when a user views a webpage or an email, collecting data such as IP addresses and viewing times. By embedding web beacons in specific web pages, websites can gather statistical data on whether and how often those pages are visited.
RSS are files containing short descriptions of the content of a website in XML format. They make it possible to see the information on a site at a glance, and are designed for easy automated processing by programs.
They are often used to present an overview of the articles found on a site based on frequently-updated categories such as "News," "Press Releases," "What's New," "Blog," "IR News," and "Podcasts."
Using RSS eliminates the need to repeatedly check a website for updates, because you can see whether or not new information you are interested in has been posted before visiting.
www.iij.ad.jp delivers updates such as "Press Releases," "Announcements," and "News/Events" via RSS.
