IIJ Group to Bring Starlink to its Business Customers in Japan as Starlink Authorized Reseller | News

Will provide one-stop support for customer requests, including kit installation and wireless LAN setup

TOKYO—October 28, 2025—Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, TSE Prime: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, and its 100% owned subsidiary IIJ Engineering Inc. (IIJ-EG) today announced that on December 1, 2025, the IIJ Group will begin providing Starlink services in Japan as an Authorized Starlink Reseller.

Starlink is increasingly being utilized in areas where terrestrial networks are limited, as well as in disaster response efforts. These expanding applications have led to growing adoption by corporate customers in Japan and abroad. Amid this trend, the IIJ Group's Indonesian subsidiary, PT. IIJ Global Solutions Indonesia (head office: Jakarta), began offering Starlink in Indonesia in July of this year as an Authorized Starlink Reseller; and now IIJ and IIJ-EG have also been registered in Japan, enabling provision of services to domestic businesses, including enterprises and other organizations.
Taking advantage of this newly obtained status, IIJ will provide Starlink to corporate customers in Japan, along with its existing connectivity services, as a connectivity solution with wide-ranging applications, such as for obtaining Internet access in mountainous locations or at sea, for backup or short-term event use, and for ensuring communication in a disaster. Moreover, IIJ will offer comprehensive support and IT services, based on the customer's needs and usage environments, in such areas as antenna installation, setup of wireless LAN for use with the service, or configuration of a VPN environment via the Starlink network.
